What you will be doing

As the Product Owner of Team-Portal, you will be responsible for many key elements in the application. The Portal is one of the main products for our users and the product involves features like, dashboarding, navigation, reporting, profile settings, and more. The Portal and its functionalities have always played a significant role in our strategy and will continue to do so in the future. After all, it is the centre of our application.

Your experience helps you to anticipate and act on potential opportunities and risks in your domain. It allows you to oversee complex, multi-facet, projects and the challenges that come with it. In your role, you will have regular contact with internal and external stakeholders, as well as, the other product owners (7), and other members of the product and development team.

Above all, as a Senior Product Owner you know the real value is in the results we produce as a team. Therefore, we expect you to be a team player that enjoys sharing knowledge, just as much as gaining it.

Your key tasks

• Own the product vision and define a product strategy for your domain.
• Manage your product roadmap, own the backlog, prioritise, know the “why’s”
• Performing customer interviews to understand your users as best as possible.
• Interact with external and internal stakeholders to understand challenges, determine priorities and proactively manage expectation
• Stay up to date with industry trends, but even more important; create the trends!
• Drive release strategies and ensure that related activities, such as internal training, creating documentation, and troubleshooting, can take place
• Create and refine user stories together with your squad
• Work with, coach, and mentor, other product owners

What you will bring to the team

• Experience as a product owner, product manager or similar
• An analytical mind and tech savviness
• Good understanding of the SDLC
• Knowledge of Agile working, preferably with hands-on experience with Scrum
• An entrepreneurial mindset
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, building relationships is key

Bonus points for…

• Experience building accounting and/or financial administration software
• An education in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• A feeling for UI/UX Design
• Spanish speaking, for our Spanish colleagues
