Project: Cloud Migration Factory

The cloud migration factory team belongs to the Cloud & Engineering department in Visma and it is a team of certified and experienced people on various public cloud providers. We help other Visma companies to successfully migrate their solutions from on-premises data centers to the public cloud and to optimize the ones that are already in the public cloud.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate Infrastructure Engineer for Google Public Cloud Area with hands-on experience on public cloud migrations, optimization and maintaining of web based solutions.

You must love to help your colleagues and to accept their help as well. The team is international, so English is our main language. If the description above fits you, and you can check several of the following bullet points, then you should come and meet us. 

Your skills, experience and abilities:

• Proven experience with Google Cloud

• Proven experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with IP networking, simple routing, firewall rules and logging

• Ability to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form

• Managing production infrastructure with Terraform

• Good knowledge about site reliability engineering (SRE) / DevOps methods

• Superior analytical and problem solving skills

• Commitment to quality with a passion for testing

• Strong ability to work independently as well as with highly cross-functional teams

• Experience in testing, releasing and maintaining web based solutions on GCP

• Excellent software engineering fundamentals

In addition, it would be an advantage if you have experience with:

• software development/coding 

• web servers (IIS/Apache/lighttpd)

• SaaS services 

• business software (ERP, CRM)

What will you do?

• Create the target architecture for the solution that will be migrated

• Work with different internal teams to migrate or optimize their infrastructure in public cloud

• Implement the CI/CD pipeline

• Build a production environment in a way that makes the system increasingly maintainable
